Marco Simoncelli and Moto GP • 11.23.11
Marco Simoncelli is one of the racers from Italia. He started his career with 125cc class before him moving to 250cc class in 2006. Before that, in 2002 until 2011 he competed in the Road Racing World Championship for 10 years. In 2008 he won his first cup for the 250cc World Championship in Gilera. He stepped up to Motor GP after four years in the intermediate class, with the Honda Gresini Team.
Marco Simoncelli started his racing with minibikes when he was seven years old in his hometown, Coriano. Marco Simoncelli grew up and lived in Coriano with his big family since his was young but he was born in Cattolica. After he move to the Italian Minimoto Championship in 1996 when he is nine years old he become the runner-up in 1999 and 2000 and also become the runner up in the European Minimoto Championship in 2000. In the same years he move on to the Italian 125cc Championship and win it. In his rookies years he won many title. And he won the European 125cc Championship in 2002.
But unfortunately he was died after got an accident on 23 October 2011 during the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang. With Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi, Marco Simoncelli was involved in a collision. His bike lost traction in Turn 11 and his bike started to slide towards the gavel and suddenly across another track into the Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi path and Marco Simoncelli was hanging down on the right side of the track and he was died.
After that, Marco Simoncelli corpse flown to his home town in Italy with his girl-friend: Kate Fretti, his mate: Valentino Rossi and his father accompanied his corpse to Italy. His fans and visitor are allowed to see Marco Simoncelli corpse in a theater in Coriano, Rimini, Italy.
